Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee program development and review process.
  • Participate in approving all student admissions into various programs in the department.
  • Receive and orient new students registered in the department.
  • Overseeing all teaching and examination processes; to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
  • Managing the students progression and eventual graduation.
  • Monitoring class attendance by students and staff.
  • Timely resolutions of students and staff concerns.
  • People management, including management of their performance, work attendance, leave, and discipline among others.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualification and experience

  • PhD in Information Technology / Computer Science/ Education Technology or related area from an accredited university.
  • Master of Science in Information Technology/ Computer Science or a related area from an accredited university.
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or a related area from an accredited university.
  • At least three years of teaching experience at the university level and at least a years management experience.
  • Has published and attended and/or contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
