Persons’ specifications

The successful candidates should: –

  • Possess an LLB or equivalent and an LLM or equivalent from a recognised university;
  • Be admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with at least five years post-admission experience with current Practicing Certificate
  • Be a member of the Law Society of Kenya in good standing;
  • Possess BCOM or equivalent with Accounting Major and Masters in Science/Business Administration (Accounting or finance full Professional qualifications in Accounting CPA or Equivalent 6years and above teaching experience. (For Accounting lecturers only)
  • Have the ability to conduct legal training at a practical level;
  • Have been trained in Andragogy skills;
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports;
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Have good Information Communication Technology skills;
  • Have good customer care and public relations skills;
  • Possess good interpersonal relations skills and be a team player;
  • Have the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Be trained and examined by The National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) (for Trial Advocacy).
