- We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base among the African diaspora and contributing to our mission of making African property investment accessible and secure for our clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- List Building and Prospecting:
- Conduct thorough research to identify and build lists of potential clients within the African diaspora.
- Utilize various tools and databases to gather relevant information on prospects.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate prospect information.
- Outreach and Lead Generation:
- Initiate contact with potential clients through multiple channels (email, phone, social media, etc.).
- Craft personalized and compelling outreach messages to engage prospects.
- Qualify leads based on established criteria and schedule appointments for senior sales team members.
- Market Research and Insights:
- Stay informed about African real estate markets and trends.
- Gather intelligence on competitor activities and market dynamics.
- Provide regular reports on market insights and prospecting activities.
- Pipeline Management:
- Track and manage your sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and progression of leads.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads.
- Client Education:
- Educate prospects on the African property market and Roots Africa’s unique value proposition.
- Address initial queries and concerns, providing basic information about our services and processes.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified leads and appointments set.
- Maintain detailed records of all prospecting activities and outcomes.
- Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 months of experience in sales, preferably in real estate or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of the African diaspora community and its needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales prospecting tools.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
