Officer – IT Job Shalina Healthcare

As an IT Officer for Kenya, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining our IT infrastructure, business applications including ERP and POS systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations in the country. You will work closely with both the Kenya business team and central IT to provide reliable, secure, and user-friendly technology services.

Key Responsibilities:

System Support and Administration:

  • Assist in the deployment and ongoing support of Microsoft Business Central ERP, SFA, CRM, and other business applications.
  • Collaborate with business users to resolve system issues and ensure processes are supported effectively.
  • Maintain data integrity, system security, and compliance with corporate policies and regulations.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware including servers, network devices, and endpoint equipment.
  • Help implement and support Microsoft Modern Workplace tools to promote productivity and security.
  • Monitor IT systems for performance and escalate issues as needed to central IT teams.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide frontline user support through troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Conduct basic user training and assist in promoting IT awareness and best practices.

Vendor Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating with IT vendors and service providers for timely support and maintenance.
  • Support procurement processes by liaising with vendors regarding hardware and software needs.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing reports on IT service performance and issues.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT operations, support, or systems administration.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Business Central ERP, POS systems, or similar business applications is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure components: servers, networking, endpoint devices.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data management standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with users and vendors effectively
