Piece of Cake is seeking a responsible and organized Bakery Cleaner / Assistant to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and support basic bakery preparation tasks. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen and work environment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and floors regularly.
• Ensure dishes, utensils, and baking equipment are cleaned, dried, and properly arranged.
• Monitor and record kitchen supplies and cleaning materials and assist with preparing shopping lists.
• Label and organize refrigerated items and ensure proper food storage.
• Assist with basic bakery preparation tasks such as weighing ingredients and preparing fondant or chocolate.
• Support the team with simple decorative tasks where required.
• Ensure all cleaning and operational tasks are completed before the end of the day.
• Assist with front desk duties when required.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High level of responsibility and attention to hygiene standards.
• Minimum KCSE qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Valid National ID.
• A minimum of KSH 500/- which will reviewed with skill set and hygiene level
