EMAUA is a community-based organization working in Western Kenya to improve livelihoods through large-scale indigenous tree planting, regenerative agriculture, environmental education, and community empowerment. Our work combines practical field implementation with long-term ecological and social impact, supporting farmers, schools, and local communities through structured, data-driven programmes.

We are looking for a Microfinance Project Manager to lead and develop a growing microfinance programme, with the objective of strengthening performance, sustainability, and responsible expansion

  • ⁠Manage daily operations of the microfinance project
  • ⁠Supervise field activities and beneficiary follow-up
  • ⁠Ensure proper loan management, monitoring, and repayment performance
  • ⁠Develop strategies to grow and strengthen the programme
  • ⁠Prepare reports and support data-driven decision-making
  • ⁠Coordinate with field teams and organizational management
  • Bachelor’s degree is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within a microfinance institution
  • ⁠Proven experience managing credit operations or community lending programmes
  • ⁠Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • ⁠Ability to monitor performance and ensure accountability
  • ⁠Good computer skills (Excel / Google Sheets and reporting tools)
  • Willingness and ability to live and work in Busia County
