Climate & Environmental Systems Specialist Job IRES

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project planning, execution, and technical delivery.
• Oversee system design integrating forecasting, data systems, and analytics.
• Guide development and implementation of predictive models and decision- support tools.
• Ensure quality assurance, validation protocols,  and compliance with international standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement processes.
• Lead capacity-building initiatives and technical knowledge transfer.
• Ensure integration of gender and social inclusion principles across all outputs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Climate Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven expertise in environmental data systems, modeling, and forecasting tools.
• Experience leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder technical projects.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
