Election-Related Training Consultant Job IRES

About the Role

We are a consulting firm seeking qualified individual consultants to join our team for an upcoming election-related training assignment. The successful consultant(s) will be responsible for designing, delivering, and reporting on training programmes for electoral stakeholders, including political party officials, civil society organizations, women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Key Focus Areas

• Electoral legal framework and political party compliance
• Inter-party dialogue and conflict prevention
• Peaceful electioneering and issue-based politics
• Inclusion of women, youth, and PWDs in electoral processes
• Voter education and civic awareness

Deliverables

The consultant shall be responsible for the following:

• Contribute to the Inception Report, including workplan, methodology, and deployment plan.
• Develop or adapt training curriculum, manuals, session plans, and participant workbooks prior to rollout.
• Facilitate all assigned training sessions using participatory adult learning methodologies.
• Provide session or activity reports, including attendance records, photographs, and key feedback within 3–5 days per session.
• Support the preparation of the consolidated final report, including pre- and post-training analysis, evaluation data, lessons learned, and recommendations within 7–10 days of completion.

Required Competencies:

• Proven experience in election-related training covering legal frameworks, peaceful elections, and inclusion of women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
• Demonstrated political neutrality and conflict sensitivity.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and report writing skills.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including political party officials, civil society, and community groups.

Professional Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Political Science, Governance, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of practical experience designing and delivering election- related training.
• Member of a relevant professional body in good standing.
