Their core business centers on supply chain distribution and logistics… They seek to hire a Pricing and Market Analyst where your responsibilities will not only include analyzing data but also developing actionable strategies that influence our bottom line. You will:

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Complex Data: Gather and analyze data from various sources like SKUs, suppliers, market trends, and economic indicators.
• Develop Pricing Strategies: Use your analysis to create effective pricing strategies that enhance customer engagement and maximize profits.
• Drive Business Impact: Translate data insights into actionable strategies and work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to implement these strategies.
• Engage Across Departments: Actively collaborate with colleagues in Kenya and headquarters to ensure strategies align with overall business goals and result in positive P&L impacts.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Address and resolve pricing issues with a proactive approach that anticipates market changes.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Business Management, Statistics, Actuarial Science or another relevant field.
• Over 4 years of experience in the same or related role.
• Preferably have Manufacturing /FMCG experience
• Experience working as a Pricing and Market Analyst or similar role.
• Commercial focused
• Experienced in Advance Excel and systems in general (ERP)
• Import requirements (will be a plus) – Import process – documentation, costings etc. 
• Export process – documentation, costings etc.
• Knowledge in commodity pricing and demand.
• Good data gathering and analysis skills.
• Knowledge of market survey process.
• Knowledge of imports, purchasing principles and practices.
• Knowledge of local laws, regulations and policies governing imports and exports.
• Ability to organize receipts, documents, and information from multiple sources.
• Systematic and methodological thinking.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• People management skills
