Sample Cover Letter For Banking Job Vacancies (Tellers)

A cover letter is your gateway to securing that first meeting or interview with a potential employer and most importantly it should draw his or her attention to what you can do.

Like a first meeting with someone, it should cast a good first impression once it hits the inbox of the HR or employer. Try as much as possible to keep it from appearing a duplicate of the curriculum vitae but at the same time, let it reflect what the job entails and requires of you.

Remember, different jobs demand for different levels of expertise and experience; stay as close to the requirements as possible.

I am well-versed in processing cash deposits and withdrawals; cheques, cash transfers, standing orders as well as credit card payments which I carried out at D & G Bank Limited as a Teller for a period of one year. Moreover, I have consistently demonstrated a keen ability to quickly and accurately count cash. I am also good at responding to customers’ queries as well as fostering a healthy relationship with my colleagues.

My skills, as outlined in detail in my CV, also extend to include both manual and electronic computing as well as recording transactions while remaining compliant to banking policies. These attributes combined with my client-oriented approach, I believe, make me the perfect match for the job.
