Motor Vehicle Inspector Job at NTSA

Reporting to the Officer In-Charge of a Motor Vehicles Inspection Centre, the job holder is responsible for ascertaining vehicles’ roadworthiness and compliance with road transport regulations.

Duties for the Motor Vehicle Inspector Job

  • Making reports on motor vehicle inspections and court cases;
  • Inspection of motor vehicles and affixing of stickers;
  • Examination and test of motor vehicles;
  • Preparation and Issuing of Prohibition Orders and Compliance Certificates;
  • Data entry of vehicle inspection reports details; and
  • Preparation of certificates of weights and measures.

Motor Vehicle Inspector Job Qualifications

To be appointed to this role, the successful candidate must possess the following key requirements;

  • Must have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive option) or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications;
  • Must have a valid Driving License free from any current endorsements;
  • High level of integrity; and
  • Ability to work under pressure.
