Chaplain Job at Cornerstone Academy

Cornerstone Preparatory Academy is a private primary school located at Hillstop, at the base of Mt. Longonot along the Trans African Highway. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to fill the role of a Chaplain.

Responsibilities for the Chaplain Job

  • Preparing and conducting weekly devotions
  • Planning and leading worship sessions, including morning parade assemblies
  • Developing a weekly chapel for all ages in liaison with Director of Spiritual Care
  • Organizing and teaching in our weekly chapel
  • Identify and invite external inspirational speakers that challenge our students and staff in their commitment to Christ
  • Plan and develop activities that help our students reach their community through regular outreaches
  • Plan and implement prayer days/activities as agreed through consultation with supervisor and management
  • Help to plan for and implement weekend challenges for pupils
  • In coordination with the Director of Spiritual Care, facilitate and provide counseling services to students
  • Attend and actively participate in relevant committee and staff meetings as necessary
  • Develop and submit quarterly/annual and other reports to the supervisor/management.
    Work closely with the School Social Worker and Nurse to develop programs that will empower the community (parents and guardians of pupils) spiritually
  • Provide support in developing work plans as well as monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Help in keeping healthy working relationship with like-minded Ministry partners such as the clergy through collaborative activities
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications for the Chaplain Job

  • Diploma and above in Chaplaincy and Counseling, Pastoral Care, Bible and Theology, or equivalent from a reputable Bible College.
  • Relevant experience an added advantage
