Our client is a financial training institution that provides training services to both individuals and corporates focusing on wealth creation, investments and financial planning.

They are seeking to recruit a highly talented professional to fill in the following position in their Nairobi office: BUSINESS MANAGER

Responsibilities for the Business Manager Job

  • Reporting to the CEO, this is a position responsible for implementation and design of business strategies. The incumbent will also be responsible for operational functions of the company.
  • Designing and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Project manage the company’s expansion plans and put in the necessary structures to make them sustainable
  • Obtaining necessary approvals, registrations, contracts for the company to run effectively and to achieve its vision
  • Work with other departments and ensure all possible loopholes for business are sealed
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision – Lead team to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Come up with systems on proposals, customer communication flow, product development schedules and calendars etc.
  • Analyzing relevant data to enable the company to make strategic decisions e.g. financial ratios, product performance and marketing data
  • Overseeing directly the finance department and ensure correct structures and systems are in place
  • Providing strategic leadership by helping build and maintain the right strategic partnerships, the right distribution channels for the company’s product and marketing the business/company and its products when needed

Qualifications for the Business Manager Job

  • A Bachelor’s degree holder in finance or any other related field
  • A minimum of 7 years work experience in a financial environment/operations role; at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity
  • High analytical skills
  • Good numerical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and problem solving skills
