Confectionery Production Manager Job at Frank Management

Our client East Africa Leading Confectionery company is currently seeking to fill the above role for its factory in Uganda.

The primary responsibility of the production manager would be the day-to-day supervision of activities of the Confectionery Production Unit to ensure that the highest safety and quality standards are achieved. S/He will be responsible for efficient and timely production.

Responsibilities for the Confectionery Production Manager Job

  • Ensure the implementation of the defined production standards, ensuring they are carried out in a proper and safe manner.
  • The Production Manager will be responsible for efficient and timely production for this confectionery, Food Science and marketing needs.
  • Planning and organizing production schedules
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
  • Determining quality control standards
  • Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
    Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Supervising the work of junior staff
  • Organizing relevant training sessions

Requirements for the Confectionery Production Manager Job

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science /Production Engineering/ related studies with 5 years experience in the industry (baking/ snacks or sweets production)
  • OR Diploma in in Food science with 8 years production management experience in Confectionery
  • Experience in confectionery ie: sweets and snacks craft production facility a MUST
  • Team Management skills
  • Good Communication Skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to details and extremely thorough.
  • Flexible and very professional.
  • Ability to multitask and meet targets set
