The ICT Authority is tasked with rationalizing and streamlining the management of all Government of Kenya ICT functions. Its broad mandate entails enforcing ICT standards in Government and enhancing the supervision of its electronic communication. The Authority also promotes ICT literacy, capacity, innovation and enterprise in line with the Kenya National ICT Masterplan 2017.

Data Centre Analyst Job Responsibilities

• Assist in installing and maintaining data centres
• Assist in responding and resolving data centre requests / faults logged both internally and externally
• Assist in fixing broken servers
• Active monitoring of all the data centre
• Monitor all data centre resources (power, cooling and space)
• Work with data centre Engineers in configuring client requirements
• General housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy environment in the data centre
• Escalation of problems and issues to the data centre operations team
• Work closely with 3rd party service providers on data centre management
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications for the Data Centre Analyst Job

• A university degree in computer science or related field
• Two years relevant experience
• Good interpersonal skills working in a data centre environment
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Strong customer service orientation
