Mechanic Job at Amiran Kenya Limited

We are seeking to recruit focused and results driven individual to fill the following position. The position is responsible for maintaining service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles.

Mechanic Job Responsibilities

  • General inspection and repair of vehicles.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance of vehicles.
  • Completing preventive maintenance such as oil change, tire rotation and changes, replacing filters etc.
  • Maintains vehicle functionality condition by listening to driver complains, repairing engine failures, replacing parts and components.
  • Keeps supplies ready by placing orders and verifying receipt.
  • Maintaining safe work environment at all times.
  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
  • Maintains appropriate repair and service records.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by workshop manager e.g. cleaning the workshop.
  • Assisting mechanics to perform moderate to complex overhaul and repair work on engines and other necessary parts.
  • Ensure all equipments and assets are designed, built, serviced and maintained in a safe and professional manner.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly repaired and well maintained.
  • Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards. Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
  • Performs related work as assigned by Head of department.

Qualifications for the Mechanic Job

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Should have at least 2 years experience.
  • Good analytical skills to diagnose problems and make decisions on repairs.
  • Must possess a valid driving license.
