M-KOPA is looking to recruit Software Project Officer. The successful candidate will be tasked with handling increased demands in the business towards internal projects.

Software Project Officer Job Responsibilities

  • Serving as a Scrum Master in the Software Engineering team:
  1. Facilitating daily standups
  2. Helping the team keeping the status of their deliverables up to date during the sprint
  3. Setting up retrospectives, sprint reviews and sprint planning sessions
  4. Helping to resolve impediments to the team meeting its goal during the sprint
  5. Work with the technical management team to improve efficiencies in software delivery
  6. Act as a buffer between the team and process overhead, so that each team member can focus on shipping software on time
  • Work with product and software teams to enable deliverables are well documented and communicated to the business
  • Produce regular status reports to stakeholders

Requirements for the Software Project Officer Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology field is a plus but not required.
  • At least 3 years’ working experience in a similar role
  • PM Certification is a plus
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus
  • Technology related education or experience is required
  • Demonstrated history of successfully completing challenging projects
  • Strong organizing and planning skills with great attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage your own time with changing priorities in an agile environment
  • Nothing short of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
