Our client, a dynamic company dedicated in providing Group Accounting solutions from Sweden is looking to Junior Software Tester for their Nairobi office. The ideal candidates must have at least 1 year experience in software testing.

Junior Software Tester Job Responsibilities

• Test case development and execution
• Writing detailed bug report
• Run regression tests
• Develop and contribute to improvement of testing and technical support team.
• Proficient use of test management tools i.e. Jira, Test link
• Respond to customer technical problems via e-mail/chat / phone.
• Advise customers within procedural guidelines for a complete solution to their technical / service questions.
• Identify, research and provide input on unique or recurring customer problems.
• Installation and set-up of ICT resources.
• Configuration of switches, routers, and VPN
• Knowledge in Virtualization technologies (Xen Server, VMWare, Hypervisor)

Qualifications for the Junior Software Tester Job

• Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related fields
• At least 1-year experience in testing
• Knowledge in scripting languages i.e. Javascript is an added advantage
• Knowledge in test automation tools i.e. test complete is an added advantage
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support
• Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
• Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
• Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Having unquestionable integrity, self-starter, energetic and result driven
• Able to work independently and team player, on several concurrent tasks with changing priorities
• Ability to work on shift 24/7
