5 Well Paying Jobs That Do Not Require Experience

Looking for a job that pays well with no required experience as a fresh graduate can be quite challenging.

This does not mean it is impossible. One mistake graduates do is being overly ambitious with their job search in a sense that they run for big companies that in every vacancy they give out, they demand experience.

That, however, does not mean that you should stop applying for well-paying jobs. It means that you should be willing to start from the bottom.

Here are some good paying jobs that do not require any work experience.

1. A Cabin Crew/ Flight Attendant Jobs

This job allows you to travel the world without spending money buying plane tickets.

Major airlines across the world are always looking for flight attendants because of the ever growing number of planes they buy.

So this job also offers job security. There will always be a need for flight attendants.

The best part about cabin crew jobs is that no experience, degree, or any other professional qualifications are required. All you need to have is a High School certificate.

The only drawback can  be the fact that the put a lot of emphases is put on your looks.

A cabin crew attendant earns as much as $1500 per month which is equivalent to Ksh 135,000. Not bad for a job with no professional requirements.

2. Graduate Trainees

Most companies such as Deloitte, PWC, Bata, Centum, Unilever and much more have graduate trainee programmes.

This is an opportunity for fresh graduates to gain work experience so that they can be able to get jobs. Most of these graduate trainee programmes end with the candidates being hired by the organisations.

A graduate trainee with no work experience in such companies can earn as much as Ksh 100,000. This is great, especially for a fresh graduate.

3. Bank Clerks

The banking industry is always growing and as such banks always have to hire clerks to work in the branches they open. This is a great opportunity for people looking to have a career in the banking industry because it provides you with a good foundation.

The good thing about being a bank clerk is that it doesn’t matter what course you took in university you can still get the job and it requires no previous work experience whatsoever.

Payment varies depending on the size of the bank but on average one can earn from 40-70K.

4. Government Jobs

Most people want to work for the government mostly because of the benefits that come with such jobs.

Government jobs offer very good work life balance and also has good benefits such as health, housing allowance, travel allowance and not forgetting job security.

Companies such as Kenya Power, Kenya Revenue Authority, Kengen and the likes have a reputation for paying their employees well.

The starting salary of fresh graduates in such institutions can be 80k or in some cases even more.

5. Medical Jobs

Studying medicine is not for everyone and will take around 6 years to complete. But once you do, you will get direct absorption into the job market. There is no endless job search when it comes to doctors.

Now when it comes to paying it may seem weird considering the 100-day strike doctors were just on citing poor pay to have this profession on this list.

However, compared to other professions doctors are well paid. The Starting salary for a Medical Doctor in Kenya is around Ksh 100,000 per month, and as they begin to gain experience, they get paid more.

It is  important to note that getting well paying jobs without a degree or experience doesn’t just happen out of the blues. It takes dedication and perseverance. You also need to show employers that you are unique and will add value to the organisation if hired.

Your CV and Cover Letter should be well written and you should also have good interview skills if you want to beat out the competition.
