Nature of Job: Full time

Duties for the Storekeeper Job

  • Responsible for storage of supplies and operational stock
  • Managing inventory stocks
  • Dispatching and verification of goods to suppliers
  • Handling petty cash
  • Issue requested materials from stores, recording the transactions on the stock recording system
  • Issue and receive back requested tools from/to stores and record appropriately
  • Receive materials delivered, ensuring the quantities coincide with the purchase order and reporting any discrepancies or quality concerns to the Manager
  • Responsible for day-to day check on the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene
  • Should be able to follow standards for issuing and receiving stock within the stores
  • Should have understanding of health standards in storage
  • Should possess reporting skills to be able to coordinate with the Cost Controller with proposals and day-to-day feedback on operational control.

Storekeeper Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of inventory software a must
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Minimum Diploma in Procurement, purchase and supply, stores management or any other related field
  • Good knowledge of stores and inventory soft wares
  • Should ideally have some experience in stock taking
  • Minimum experience of 2-3 years as a storekeeper in a busy environment
  • Should have a good ability to co-operate, be service- minded and be willing to resume responsibility
  • Should have very good organizational skills
  • Should have a good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Must be computer literate and preferably a lady
