Operations at Bridge

Operations department work closely and take responsibility for the critical performance of our entire network of academies, including personnel management, instructional delivery, customer care, expenses, payroll, facilities and more. Effective management of academy operations is measured by:

  • Staff satisfaction and turnover
  • Cost of headquarters support per pupil
  • Educational outcomes as measured by academic testing programme

About the Role

The main role of the Associate, Instructional Oversight Operations. is to work with the Operations Programme Manager to execute the projects and programmes associated with the department.  General responsibilities will include, but not limited to, Lesson Delivery, Lesson completion, Exams, Teacher Performance Reviews, Recognition and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring teachers and Academy Managers have downloaded lesson guides for each day and that the Guide Availability report is working (including conducting field tests).
  • Travel and conduct phone calls to Academy Managers, teachers, staff and parents to collect or to deliver specific information.
  • Supporting internal and external exams, including KCPE and PLE preparation.
  • Checking that the stored procedure for mapping lessons to teachers has been programmed by the scheduling team and that schedules received are in-line with this.
  • Communicating with the scheduling team, cases of missing or incorrect guides noted or reported by academies via CRM tickets and communicate this information back to academies.
  • Take disorganized data coming from multiple sources e.g. phone call results, e-mail, surveys and organize that data into specific data repositories (Microsoft Excel and CRM) according to the appropriate format.
  • Following up on the lesson completion data received from academies in order to improve the lesson completion rates.
  • Analyze teacher, pupil performance and lesson completion data.
  • The Associate Instructional Oversight, may be called upon at any time to provide similar administrative, monitoring, coordinating, and reporting support (as described above) to any of the Programme Managers.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a fast paced work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any business related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and automated systems.
  • Efficient report writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Kenya and Uganda when required (40% of the time)
