Opportunity   

Reporting to the Group Editorial Director, the job holder will lead the implementation of Editorial projects, ensuring that they are relevant, delivered in time and achieve their strategic vision.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timely delivery of all projects/ products that continuously deliver value to the consumer and ensuring strict adherence to policy and procedures;
• Guiding the project teams through their complex tasks and organising forums/ review meetings to discuss deliverables/ milestones;
• Championed the stakeholder engagement and ensuring that project progress and statuses are communicated in an effective and timely;
• Tracking project changes and developing updated task based schedule as agreed with the project implementation team and steering committee;
• Taking input from the project team and stakeholders to develop and maintain the detailed schedule;
• Tracking of all projects associated with the division on the transformation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/ IT or their equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Certification in PMP/ Prince 2;
• Certification in SCRUM;
• Three (3) years of relevant experience;
• Strong familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of Project management;
• Strong understanding of Agile Project Management Methodology;
• Good team-handling abilities – Possess the ability to interest and convince others when changes are required;
• Ability to work within a team under high pressure and handle divergent views.
