Qualifications

• For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Hydrology, Engineering Hydrology, Meteorology, Water Resources and Environmental Management, Hydrogeology or Water Resource Engineering from a University recognized in Kenya.

Responsibilities 

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will normally be regarded as being on-the-job training.

• Assisting in preparation of hydrometeorological maps and assessment of surface water resource potential;
• Installing and maintaining hydro-meteological stations; and
• Collecting, monitoring and analyzing hydro-meteorological data.
