Job summary:   

Support the development, implementation and coordination of high quality and appropriate Monitoring and Evaluation processes for KRA’s projects and programmes; and to coordinate all aspects of programme monitoring and reporting ensuring high quality data and timely reports to various audience

Responsibilities

  • Development of project monitoring plan (PMP) for the projects.
  • Tracking and documentation of projects’ performance, preparation of required reports and collating corresponding evidences
  • Research and recommend appropriate emerging tools and technology that can improve the Monitoring and Evaluation Processes.
  • Liaising with Portfolio Management to ensure all projects/programmes are delivered in line with the standards of the organization
  • Coordinating communication with stakeholders on matters pertaining Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects/Programmes as assigned
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the annual corporate wide Projects work plan by offering expertise  to the teams responsible for projects delivery to ensure that activities outlined in the work plan are on time, within budget and at the appropriate level of quality
  • Custodian of ePMO documentation, reports, workplans and any other project materials. 
  • Conducting project post implementation surveys and/or facilitate external evaluators where necessary.
  • Creation of data collection tools and templates for purposes of project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Sensitizing project managers and stakeholders on changes in the Monitoring and Evaluation processes
  • Any other role as assigned from time to time

Qualifications    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field.
  • Professional qualification in Monitoring & Evaluation,
  • Project Management i.e. PRINCE2, PMP, MoV, MoP.
  • Three years’ experience working in multi-project programme environment in a similar role
  • Previous participation in Project Monitoring and Evaluation activities
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing

Skills required

  • Sound practical knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation concepts
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal  and presentation skills
  • Excellent business analytical skills including ability to use data manipulation software
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work positively with the full range of individuals and groups involved in a programme.
  • Excellent knowledge of programme/project management approaches such as MSP/Prince2.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, activity scheduling and resource allocation procedures.
