MATERNAL & FETAL MEDICINE SPECIALIST – V/FT/139/2022 – 1 POST

Responsibilities

• Inpatient care of antepartum patients and key lead in obstetric
• Overseeing scheduling and management of patients of the perinatal
• Handling the outpatient high risk obstetric
• Conducting antenatal testing and outpatient
• Participate in research, training, and supervision of
• Carrying out early pregnancy screening ultrasound, advanced fetal
• Perform prenatal diagnostic procedures, including but not limited to: Amniocentesis, Chronic villus sampling, placental biopsies, and Umbilical Cord Blood
• Management of a range of fetal
• Participate in community education and scientific programs
• Maintain a clinical presence at the hospitals, on-site patient care and consultative

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution
• Masters in Obstetrics & Gynecology from a recognized institution
• Fellowship in maternal fetal medicine from a recognized institution
• Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
• Recognition as a specialist by the
• Valid Practice
• Professional Insurance Indemnity
• Proficiency in computer
• At least one (1) year working experience as a maternal & fetal medicine specialist in a busy environment
