Brief Description        

The incumbent will Monitor the Technical Training school training calendar to ensure all the mandatory trainings are scheduled. In consultation with the Lead Quality Assurance, Lead Quality Audits, and Lead Technical Training –Review the current status of compliance training for all maintenance personnel and certified staff and prepare training schedule. He/ She will also develop and maintain up to date maintenance personnel and certifying staff training records.

Detailed Description        

Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)

  • Monitor Technical Training school training calendar to ensure all the mandatory trainings are scheduled.
  •  Review the current status of compliance trainings for all maintenance personnel and certifying staff, prepare training schedule and share with training school to assist in preparing the yearly training calendar.
  • Work with technical training school to ensure that all maintenance personnel and certifying staff training records are provided to Quality section for recordkeeping.
  • Ensure all maintenance personnel and certifying staff training records both soft and hard copies are filed, up to date within Quality section and are kept for a minimum of 2 years or as the Kenya Airways AMO and civil aviation regulations dictates.
  • Work with Quality Assurance staff to ensure technical support and certifying staff authorizations records are filed in the individual files both in soft and hard copies.
  • Coordinate with Technical Leads/managers to monitor & report rest and duty limitations as those for persons performing maintenance functions.
  •  Periodically review sufficiency of trained; qualified and experienced staff is available to support Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Workshops and report to Lead Quality -Audits/ Lead Quality Assurance on a 25% shortfall in available man hours during a calendar month.

Qualification(Minimum)

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Records Management and Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Must have 3 years’ experience in Records Management and Information Technology.
