Key Performance Indicator

  • Efficient coordination of routine functions of the Human Resource Department.
  • Ability to implement Board and management decisions in a seamless and timely
  • Developing a coherent medium and long-term HR Strategy.
  • Effective staff contract and payroll
  • Optimizing staff cohesion, motivation, and
  • Generating concise and well-researched management and Board reports.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement a Human Resources strategy that ensures efficient delivery of support services to the technical department as well as the subsidiary companies.
  • Efficiently Coordinate the day-to-day management of the Human Resource function.
  • Prepare a medium to long term Human Resource strategy and budget that ensures effective utilization of company resources.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence on best practice with respect to compensation and training.
  • Ensure monthly payroll is updated and processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure legal and statutory compliance.
  • Strengthen internal performance management systems and coordinate the annual appraisal process.
  • Manage the company’s recruitment, induction, and separation process.
  • Providing quality and timely progress reports by 5th of subsequent month.
  • Conduct a training needs assessment and design an effective training program and attendant budget.
  • Ensure that a proper management succession system is in place.
  • Ensure completeness of employee records.

Key Competencies

  • Possess Business degree with a bias towards Human Resource Management; minimum 2nd Class Honors – Upper Division.
  • Have at least five years’ relevant post-qualification experience in organizations with a staff complement above 100. Must have spent at least 3 years with the current/last employer.
  • Be a paid-up member of IHRM.
  • Have a commitment towards continuous HR learning as well as an ethical approach to the practice.
  • Possess above-average communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Have a proven track record of consistently delivering projected outcomes.
