Program Finance Assistant Job, Current Finance Jobs In Kenya,

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Program Accountant, Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, the person will be responsible for assisting in the accounting function for the program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the processing of fee payments for the scholars.
  • Assist in accounting for the payment vouchers in a timely manner.
  • Assist in liaising with respective departments to ensure all the payments are processed on time.
  • Monthly scanning of supporting documents for the financial report.
  • Preparation of ad hoc report as may be required from time to time.
  • Ensure proper records of projects’ budgets, work plans, and contracts are well maintained.
  • Ensure easy access to the projects’ budgets, contracts and work plans. Maintain an organized, well-documented and sequential filing system for documents on the Box Folders.
  • Ensure that queries raised are responded to promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with the Internal and External audit preparations including putting together relevant documentation for the Audit.
  • Ensure that there is at least one area of improvement in form of training, seminar, or workshop.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum Educational Qualifications and professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting/Business
  • At least two-years previous experience of accounting especially Project accounting and finance.
  • CPA Part III or more will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience of accounting especially Project accounting and finance will be an added advantage.
