Brief Description        

The Analyst is tasked with supporting Global Distribution Systems, Central Reservations System (Altea), and other Revenue Management systems business rules setup and integration with both airline and non-airline partners. The Analyst provides first-line support service to Kenya Airways Commercial units, through a service desk approach in an a timely manner and helps in the resolution of all Altea Reservations and Revenue Management systems, functional related incidents, including business rules setup, tests, and support. They analyze monitor, prepare, and provide timely monthly reports on distribution costs performance, analyse and track distribution costs and their impact on KQ’s objective of Distribution unit cost reduction.

Detailed Description        

  • Review Amadeus’s engagement from transactional to a strategic partnership – Contribute to a 30% cost reduction
  • Prepare and provide timely monthly reports and insights on Global Distribution Systems cost performance.
  • Provide monthly CRS cost performance report with highlights of abusive costs per country to reduce the unproductive GDS costs
  • Track, evaluate, and validate monthly GDS and CRS invoices before approval in I-pride
  • Ensure accurate and timely update of Altea Business rules and office set-up to facilitate smooth implementation of new routes &ensure Charter Flight rules are updated with approved access granted to the authorized sales offices both KQ and Travel agents.
  • Clean up Type A and B TTY Addresses. Contribute to 10%reduction in Teletype cost.
  • Review implemented Optional Services to only retain what is in use and critical for the customer journey.
  • Support Strategic partnerships through System Implementation of New Codeshares and IETs.
  • Respond to 90% of the incidents within 24hrs and incidents/requests logged and closed within the agreed SLAs and with the stakeholders.
  • Enhance distribution scope by supporting NDC implementation.
  • Support implementation of new customer products. (DPO, CRT, TTT, Priority pass, Flight pass, PNR synch, Loyalty, PNR GOV) and automation of group tools to facilitate payment and ticketing.
  • Align with the Inventory team to ensure correct business rules are applied & Altea Inventory messenger queues are handled.
  • Altea User Management & Carrier Preferred Display Process alignment with the stakeholders (PRM, Sales, Digital, DCS & IT)
  • Efficient and productive stakeholder reports managementthrough Automation and continuous maintenance of the reports to stakeholders(CRS reports, Distribution cost analysis report & Queue Management report)

Job Requirements        

  • University Degree preferably business/finance/IT related field from a recognized university.
  • Proficiency in Advance MS excel.
  • Prior experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python and dashboard desired.
  • Minimum 3years’ working experience.
