Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for Watu Africa’s brand and communication efforts.
  • Use data-driven insights to evaluate the success of marketing projects and campaigns. Provide regular reports on key performance indicators and adjust strategies as necessary. 
  • Manage marketing project budgets effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, both online and offline, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  •  Plan, execute, and oversee marketing projects, campaigns, and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, both online and offline, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  •  Work closely with the respective stakeholders to develop marketing strategies that align with Watu’s brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with the creative and content teams to develop engaging and on-brand marketing content, including graphics, videos, and written materials.
  •  Implement digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media campaigns, to increase brand awareness and reach target audiences.
  • Maintain brand consistency and ensure all marketing materials and communications adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather insights, align strategies, and support cross-functional projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  •  At least 8 years experience in marketing, project management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media management platforms, email marketing software).
  •  Strong understanding of digital marketing channels & tools and copy writing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  •  Proficiency in data analysis and reporating.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  •  Knowledge of the African market and cultural sensitivities is a plus.
