Purpose:

Responsible for coordination of evaluation of bids and assisting in the procurement of goods, works, and services as per approved procurement policy.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate the evaluation of tenders, quotations, and proposals by the Evaluation Committee as per the established procedures.
  • Preparation of the preliminary, technical, and financial evaluation reports.
  • Standing Member and Secretary of the Procurement Committee.
  • Ensure compliance of the approved procurement policy, and identify areas for continuous improvement of the policy as and when required.
  • Develop and build vendor relationships with existing suppliers and create relationships with new suppliers.
  • Assist in implementing and driving CIC procurement strategies and policies.
  • Assist in Leading the development of category-specific sourcing strategies and research on new products and services to meet the company’s goals.
  • Assist in overseeing supplier selection, contracting, and negotiations monitor the use of competitive bidding/ benchmarking, and develop framework contracts to cover future purchases for 1-2 years.
  • Identify, build, and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances with suppliers and partners.
  • Ensure procurement-supplier relationship management process by assisting in overseeing supplier management for relevant categories and leading Business Unit (BU)- Procurement risk reviews.
  • Assist in Providing oversight of management of Office systems which shall include the IT and office equipment.
  • Ensure that other functional areas receive quality, timely procurement service and assistance.
  • Assist in overseeing the tendering process and ensure all adhere to the specification of requirements, requests for proposals, evaluation, and supplier appointment.
  • Assist in managing Data and reviewing all records of purchased goods, including costs, deliveries, and inventories.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and new markets dictated by business requirements.
  • Deliver cost savings based on sourcing strategies and compliance management.

Academic and Professional Requirements

Education

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Business-related field from a reputable university
  • Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications 
  • Certification in either of the following; CIPS/KISM Certification, PMO, APS-K
