Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining employee, payroll, and benefits records, and preparing HR reports;
  • Managing and processing the employee payroll promptly;
  • Developing and implementing training programs for all employees;
  • Effectively managing recruitment functions by developing job descriptions;
  • Managing employee relations, and hiring processes, and ensuring compliance with all laws about employee eligibility, classification, compensation, benefits, and their safety in the workplace;
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues;
  • Nurture a positive working environment;
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance;
  • Developing and maintaining an efficient HR strategy that aligns with the corporation’s strategic objectives;
  • Orientation and training of new staff members;
  • Advising and providing counsel to management on compensation, benefit, and incentive plans, and assisting in the development of new policies and programs;
  • Maintaining and disseminating employee policy handbooks;
  • Providing general administrative support to senior management;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized University;
  • Master’s Degree in a related field from a recognized University will be an added advantage;
  • Have had experience for not less than five (5) years in HR operations or a related field;
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices;
  • Knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices, including interview techniques;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
