Avenue Healthcare Audit Assistant Job

Job Objective/Purpose

To improve the company’s operational efficiency and effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing various business processes and documents to check for controls adequacy and compliance with the company policies, process regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting interviews during audits.
  • Perform audit procedures to verify the implementation and effectiveness of controls.
  • Preparing working papers for the various audits and ssummarizing audit issues.
  • Identifying all risks including people, technology, and process risks, and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of controls.
  • Preparing and presenting audit results of audit via written reports and oral presentations to management.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation of compliance with organizational procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain internal audit working paper files.
  • Participate in Audit investigations.
  • Follow up audit recommendations to ensure that agreed actions are taken to improve system controls.
  • Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.

Personal Specifications

  •  Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) or equivalent from a recognized University plus CPA (K) or ACCA.
  •  Holder of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be an added advantage.
  •  3 years’ experience.
  •  Attention to detail.
  •  Strong analytical/reporting skills
