Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare project proposals and overseeing project implementation in the Hospital;
  • Advise Medical Superintendent on financial management, and ensuring financial guidelines are followed;
  • Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines;
  • Oversee transport management;
  • Provide technical advice and support on administrative roles to the hospital;
  • Promote and support maintenance of plant, buildings and equipment;
  • Oversee supervision and development of personnel through performance appraisals;
  • Prepare staff returns for the hospital;
  • Serves as Secretary to various management committees;
  • Supervise collection and expenditure of FIF (Public Health Office & Medical Officer of Health;
  • Prepare relevant documents for Kenya Gazette notices and forward them to the CHAO;
  • Follow up on audit queries of the Hospital;
  • Compile infrastructure needs for the Hospital and programs;
  • Manage hospitality;
  • Evaluate personnel and prepare daily reports; and,
  • Any other duty as shall be assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Have a diploma in Health Management, Hospital Administration, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- or its equivalent with at least a C in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics from a recognized Institution.
  • Have a Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
