Moringa School Professional Development Trainer Job
- We are keen on strengthening the learners’ employability outcomes hence a successful candidate will be responsible for redesigning, developing and delivering our professional development program. Training delivery and facilitation will account for 70% of the role.
Responsibilities
Training Delivery and Facilitation
- Facilitate weekly learning events.
- Provide academic support for students in an effort to help them accelerate their learning progress, catch up with their peers and meet learning objectives.
- Monitor students’ engagement in our various learning platforms and implement appropriate strategies to boost learner engagement.
Analyzing and Defining Learning Gap Opportunities
- Establish instructional goals, success metrics and overall objectives.
- Audience analysis: identify information regarding the learner such as learning environment, preferences, demographics, existing knowledge and skills.
Designing Learning Solutions
- Set learning objectives, instructional methods and activities, storyboards, content, subject matter knowledge, lesson outlines, and media assets.
Developing and Curating Learning Solutions
- Curate instructional content, for example, diagnostic assessments, role plays, case studies, and performance support tools that align to the desired learning or behavioural outcome.
Evaluating Learning Effectiveness and Impact
- Measure the impact of the soft skills programs and communicate results to key stakeholders.
Organizing and Facilitating Thursday Speaker Talks/ Coaching sessions
- These sessions are meant to expose the students to industry dynamics before they graduate.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in instructional design and delivering a soft skills program.
- Thorough knowledge of instructional design models and processes for example Addie, SAM, and Backward Design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of methods and techniques in planning, designing, and developing instructional content.
- Exemplary in facilitating live learning events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments.
- Proficient in recognizing individual students’ learning needs and developing strategies to meet those needs.
- Proficient in using multiple student data elements to modify instruction and improve learning.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects and delivering results under prescribed deadlines.
