The Tea Board of Kenya Assistant Office Administrator Job

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

  • Recording information in shorthand and transcribing in typewritten form;
  • Processing data and managing e-office;
  • Operating office equipment;
  • Ensuring security of office equipment, documents and records;
  • Updating and maintaining office diary;
  • Attending to visitors/clients; handling telephone calls and appointments;
  • Managing office petty cash; and
  • Ensuring good office layout.

Requirements for appointment

Passed the following examinations from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC);

  • Typewriting III (Minimum 50 w.p.m.)/Computerized document processing III;
  • Shorthand III (100 w.p.m)
  • Business English III/Communications I;
  • Office Management III
  • Secretarial Duties II;
  • Commerce II;

OR

  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Business Management from the Kenya National Examinations Council or its equivalent; and
  • Proficiency in computer application;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Other Requirements

Upon offer of employment, the successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Consitutiton of Kenya 2010 by providing copies of;

  • A valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
  • A valid Clearance Certficate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
  • A valid Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB); and,
  • A valid Clearance form from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
