Our client is an established manufacturer of high-quality furniture. They seek to hire an HR Intern who will provide support to the Human Resources department relating to human resource functions and adhering to the laid-out policies and procedures within the department and across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain an applicant tracking system and ensure candidate information is up-to-date.

Onboarding Assistance:

  • Coordinate new hire orientations and assist in the onboarding process.
  • Prepare and organize new hire paperwork and documentation.

Employee Records:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
  • Assist in the documentation of personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Training and Development:

  • Support the coordination of training programs and workshops.
  • Help organize training materials and communicate training schedules.

HR Administration:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and managing HR documents.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Employee Relations:

  • Assist in resolving employee inquiries and issues.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and events.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare reports related to HR metrics and analytics.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Professional HR Diploma or Higher diploma
  • A bachelor’s degree from a reputable university will be an added advantage
  • At least 1 year’s experience in human resource administration
  • Knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-directed, and ability to work under pressure
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Possess strong client-relations, interpersonal, written, and oral communication and analytic skills.
  • Tech savvy
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites
