Our client is an established manufacturer of high-quality furniture. They seek to hire an HR Intern who will provide support to the Human Resources department relating to human resource functions and adhering to the laid-out policies and procedures within the department and across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain an applicant tracking system and ensure candidate information is up-to-date.
Onboarding Assistance:
- Coordinate new hire orientations and assist in the onboarding process.
- Prepare and organize new hire paperwork and documentation.
Employee Records:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
- Assist in the documentation of personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Training and Development:
- Support the coordination of training programs and workshops.
- Help organize training materials and communicate training schedules.
HR Administration:
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and managing HR documents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Employee Relations:
- Assist in resolving employee inquiries and issues.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and events.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare reports related to HR metrics and analytics.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Professional HR Diploma or Higher diploma
- A bachelor’s degree from a reputable university will be an added advantage
- At least 1 year’s experience in human resource administration
- Knowledge of labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills, self-directed, and ability to work under pressure
- High level of confidentiality
- Possess strong client-relations, interpersonal, written, and oral communication and analytic skills.
- Tech savvy
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
