The Head of Accounts is responsible for ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely financial reporting, and adherence to statutory obligations of the company.

  • Supervise Accountants, Accounts Assistants, and Branch Managers.
  • Ensure daily reconciliation of sales and stock.
  • Facilitate configuration of the accounting system and assist with any support issues.
  • Consistently prepare cash flow analysis, profit and loss reports, performance reports, asset registers, and any other report required for decision-making by the management.
  • Actively formulate policies and SOPs to avoid loss and/or damage to company resources.
  • Liaise with the company management in the implementation of SOPs and policies.
  • Assist the Human Resource Manager in recruitment and selection.
  • Assist in the organization of staff training and meetings.
  • Oversee staff discipline in accounting and reconciliations.
  • Conduct a physical audit of all company assets, inventory, stocks, and resources with the aim of preventing loss.
  • Ensure timely remittance of statutory payments (Housing Levy, NSSF, NHIF, PAYE, VAT).
  • Ensure annual audits and income tax returns are done timely.
  • Ensure timely preparation and presentation of financial reports.
  • Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Timely remittance of statutory payments.
  • Facilitation of annual audits.
  • Working Circumstances and Equipment:
  • Office environment with the use of computers.
  • Minimum Qualification: CPA part 2 (section IV).
  • The applicant must be ready to live in and work from Mombasa town.
  • The applicant should be versatile and able to handle administrative roles and paperwork.
  • Knowledge in the use of multiple accounting systems is an added advantage.
