Federation Of Kenya Employers Project Officers Job

Location: Mombasa, Nairobi

  • Reporting to the Project Manager, FKE seeks to recruit two project Officers, one who will be based in Nairobi and another in Mombasa to facilitate the achievement of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of project implementation work plans to prioritize key activities and targets.
  • Ensure that the project activities are implemented efficiently and effectively, adhering to the project timeline and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project duration.
  • Facilitate monitoring and evaluation of project activities to assess progress / performance,identify gaps, and measure the results of the project.
  • Track project deviations from the work plan and take early corrective action.
  • Identify, report and mitigate project risks, that may impact the successful implementation of project activities.
  • Stay informed about current industry trends, emerging technologies, and skill requirements to ensure that the vocational training programs remain relevant and up to date.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous project improvement and partnerships.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on the project’s progress, achievements, and challenges on a timely manner.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and events as directed by the organization.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Education, Community Development, International Relation, Economics, Sociology, Political sciences or related field. Additional education may substitute for some experience.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant project/program experience, ideally in the field of technical and vocational education, livelihoods, and education.
  • Experience monitoring projects, collecting relevant data and writing project reports.
  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
