Our client is a leading logistics company providing a comprehensive range of services that encompass freight and consultancy services.  They seek to hire a self-motivated and efficient Marketing Officer

Responsibilities

  • Implement marketing strategies to promote sales, analyze market trends, identify potential clients, and manage advertising campaigns.
  • Play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, negotiating contracts, and staying informed about industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive media plans and marketing calendars.
  • Proofread and review content before posting to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Create visually appealing content for social media channels, including short-format videos.
  • Work closely with the design team to produce graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and analyzing marketing campaigns to enhance product awareness and drive sales.
  • Monitor social media trends, analyze data, and provide insights to optimize campaigns. Utilize analytics tools to measure and report on the performance of social media and marketing efforts.
  • Drive the implementation of marketing & digital campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads.
  • Direct and support market research, data collection, data analysis and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reporting.
  • Work closely with the sales department to align on sales generation strategies.
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communication channels.
  • Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies.
  • In charge of all content in our website and all our digital platforms to ensure it is relevant and in line with the marketing and digital policies.
  • Managing and increasing the online presence and brand of the company through networking tools and social media.
  • Track SEO and Google Analytics data for management decision making.
  • Develop and implement marketing budget and ensure remains within the approved budget.
  • Tasked in protecting the integrity of the brand by ensuring it’s done as per branding guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain social media messaging with an aesthetic that is consistent with the overall branding.
  • Build a creative, dynamic, consistent, and interesting social media voice.
  • Develop and implement social media platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related Business field from a recognized institution. 
  • At least two years of demonstrable Sales experience, preferably in a freight and logistics industry. 
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate the value proposition of freight services clearly and persuasively, both in written and verbal communication. 
  • Market Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, identifying potential opportunities, and assessing competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
  • Logistics Knowledge: Understanding logistics and the freight industry to effectively market and communicate the unique features of the company’s services. 
  • Digital Marketing: Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms to execute online campaigns and reach a wider audience.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders within the freight industry. 
  • Time Management: Efficiently managing time and priorities to meet deadlines and handle multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills and a solid understanding of logistics are essential for success in this position.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
