Job Requirement

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science/information communication technology/ electrical or Electronic Engineering or any other ICT related discipline from a recognized Institution.
  • Served in the Public Service for a minimum period of five (5) years.
  • Obtained a Professional Certification in Information Technology or other related disciplines from a recognized certifying body.
  • Demonstrated professional ability, initiative, and competence in organizing and directing work.

Job Description

  • Planning and monitoring security alerts and incidents, investigating and responding to security breaches promptly.
  • Coordinate regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential weaknesses.
  • Liaise implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Work closely with ICT and other departments to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Manage user access controls and permissions, ensuring that access levels align with job responsibilities.
  • Regularly review and update access lists to maintain least privilege principles.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures.
  • Manage and maintain security tools, including antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption tools.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and incident reports.
  • Generate regular reports on security metrics and key performance indicators.
