BURN Commercial Officer – Biomass and Electric Job

  • BURN is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager for Biomass and Electric to play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our commercial strategy. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving the development and execution of our commercial initiatives, with a specific focus on forecasting and coordinating all carbon projects and electric demand plans. Monitoring the progress of carbon projects against targets, managing pricing and price forecasts for our B2C product range, and overseeing feasibility studies and market research are key aspects of this role.
  • The Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in reporting on the performance of the commercial team, compiling and evaluating departmental expenses against budgets, and identifying and managing commercial risks. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to take a lead role in resolving any commercial issues that may arise, demonstrating a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in the development and execution of the commercial strategy.
  • Responsible for forecasting and coordination of all carbon projects and electric demand plans.
  • Monitoring the progress of all carbon projects against targets & deadlines
  • In charge of pricing and price forecasts for the B2C range of products.
  • Responsible for the coordination of feasibility studies and market research
  • Reporting on the performance of the commercial team
  • Responsible for compiling, evaluating, and monitoring departmental expenses versus budgets.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks
  • Taking a lead role in solving commercial issues that may arise.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience developing business strategy and plans.
  • Bachelor or MBA degree, preferably in business, market intelligence, or marketing.
  • Strong analytic/number-crunching background, particularly with sales and marketing data
  • High level of comfort working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French would be an added advantage.
  • Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, with a desire to deliver on time and willing to get your “hands dirty” when called upon.
  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects with many stakeholders to deliver results on time
