Grae Care Ltd Waxing Specialist Job

Our salon seeks a Wax Specialist to provide waxing and related services to clients. In this role, your responsibilities are to communicate with clients to discuss their needs and preferences, as well as learn about any sensitive skin or allergy issues. You must know when to use the right equipment, from basic waxing strips to hot wax. 

Responsibilities

• Perform hair removal services using wax on various parts of the body, including but not limited to, legs, arms, back, chest, face, and bikini area, ensuring a comfortable and effective experience for clients.
• Prepare the waxing area and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization according to health and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Consult with clients before waxing services to discuss their skin type, hair growth patterns, and desired outcomes, providing professional advice on pre- and post-wax care.
• Manage pain and discomfort during waxing sessions by employing techniques such as proper skin stretching and applying soothing products to minimize client discomfort.
• Schedule appointments and manage client records, including documenting specific preferences, waxing history, and any skin reactions to ensure personalized and safe services.
• Sell and recommend waxing products and other related skincare items to clients, providing guidance on how to maintain smooth skin between appointments.
• Train and mentor junior wax specialists in waxing techniques, customer service, and salon protocols to maintain high-quality standards across the team.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on waxing equipment, ensuring everything is in optimal working condition to avoid any service disruptions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist 
• Minimum of 2 Years’ experience 
• Experience providing waxing services to clients in a professional setting. 
• Knowledge of other skincare and beauty treatments is a plus.
• Experience with and knowledge of various waxing techniques and equipment
• Attention to detail
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Be willing to learn new techniques and be positive, upbeat and personable
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Able to do all types of body waxing
• Able to recommend and sell our retail products specifically designed to work with our wax
• Able to work in a fun, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work flexible days and hours
