Mr. Green Trading Africa Procurement Assistant Job

  • The Procurement Assistant is responsible for the provision of accurate and timely assistance in administration of the procurement functions. The incumbent will work closely with user departments to ensure timely satisfaction of initiated needs in terms of acquisition of goods, services and works.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing specifications with user departments.
  • Assist in procurement planning.
  • Assist in international procurement and importation procedures.
  • Assist in quotation Analysis.
  • Participate in negotiations with vendors to achieve favorable terms.
  • Structuring the tender process where applicable.
  • Assist in Preparing LPOs.
  • Assist in expediting orders from vendors.
  • Continuously update and maintain the vendor prequalification list.
  • Continuously monitor requisitions on the ERP system to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assist in improving purchasing processes.
  • Assist in requesting quotations from vendors.
  • Assist in carrying out market research on product development and better sources of supply.
  • Assist in scanning and Filing invoices from vendors.
  • Maintaining internal databases and files and informing user departments on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective procurement processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or any other related field
  • Professional Certification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or any other related field is an added advantage
  • At Least 2 years of progressive experience in a similar role.
  • Membership of a professional body-KISM,CIPS etc. is added advantage.
