The Project

ACTION III TRIAL is a three (3) years multi-country, multi-center, three-arm, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of two doses of antenatal corticosteroids for women with a high probability of birth in the late preterm period. The project will be conducted in three (3) hospitals in Kenya- Kakamega, Busia, Uasin Gishu, Narok, Migori

Job Description

• Screen and enroll eligible participants in the study by ensuring proper administration of consent procedures.
• Administer screening and enrollment questionnaires to the participants.
• Maintain a register of all randomized participants.
• Ensure data are collected accurately and resolve any discrepancies with the data team.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the study coordinator.

Job Specifications

• Applicant must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
• They must have a Diploma in Kenya Registered Nurse Midwife or Kenya Registered
• Community Health Nurse or a Degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• He/She must have at least 1 year of working experience post-qualification in a busy maternity unit.
• Applicants with training NIH certifications and experience in research and IT will have an added advantage.

Terms of appointment

This a position whose tenure is one (3) year contract renewable based on performance and by

mutual consent. The salary is negotiable depending on the level of education and work experience.
