The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods, including the management of inventory and stock levels. The role also involves the use of inventory systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and contributing to the smooth running of the warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspection:

  • Receive incoming goods and materials, inspect for damages or discrepancies, and report to supervisors.
  • Verify the accuracy of shipment contents, ensuring that they match purchase orders and packing slips.

Inventory Management:

  • Organize and maintain stock in designated storage areas.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, ensure accurate inventory records, and participate in periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Update inventory systems with new stock and ensure timely replenishment.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation of outgoing shipments.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and responsibly (if certified).

Reporting and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate logs of warehouse activities, including receiving, shipping, and stock movements.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, shipments, and inventory issues.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
  • Communicate with suppliers and carriers regarding shipment schedules and any discrepancies.
