Job Role
To carry out all refrigeration works effectively and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities among others
- Manage stock levels and monitor stock movement cycles and maintain efficiency and cost effectiveness in distribution operations.
- Ensure any variance between system stock and physical stock is investigated and explained and the report shared to your immediate supervisor.
- Monitor control of product losses during receipt, in storage and during issuing.
- Ensure efficient and smooth operations of all depot activities including but not limited to safe and proper receipt, storage and handling of finished products/equipment at the depot to ensure quick turnaround of the trucks.
- Reviewing daily and monthly stock reports and ensuring that loss analysis beyond approved limits is promptly carried out and explanations for variation given to management
- Maintain financial sustainability through variance control and minimizing holding cost.
- Advising on maintaining optimal stock levels and reporting of end month variance position
- Analysing data/records to anticipate company future needs and advice the Inventory Manager to take necessary measures.
- Monitor and control slow moving products, sound returns, damaged goods and unsound returns
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, increase sales and drive growth in the designated area.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Finance or its equivalent from a recognized university
- Bachelor in Business Management/Administration, BCOM or its equivalent from a recognized institution coupled with CPA 11 section 4
- Previous relevant work experience of 5 years is required in FMCG
- Proficient with officer computer applications, Syspro will be a definite advantage
- Spreadsheets and Ms. Word is a must
