Internal Audit Assistant Job Mombasa Maize Millers

Responsibilities :

• Conducting audits of the organization, preparing audit reports and highlighting issues relating to internal controls and risk management.
• Ensure successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning, fieldwork and reports
• Perform audit procedures to verify the implementation and effectiveness of controls through testing and interacting with the relevant company staff
• Carry out spot checks on keys areas such as cash count, IOUs, trade debtors, physical stock etc.
• Managing of audit files and ensure proper filing of documents and reports
• Update the Internal Auditor on regular basis; on execution and progress on assigned tasks and any arising significant internal control issues

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with specialization in Finance or Accounting with minimum of an Upper Second class Honors
• Professional qualification (s) such as CPA/ACCA/CIA/CISA is desirable
• At least two to three (2-3) years work experience as an auditor; in internal audit or external audit in a reputable company/firm
• Computer literate with hands on experience in use of ERP
• Strong analytical skills with ability to pay attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality and professionalism
