Welder/Locksmith Job U.S. Embassy to Kenya

Duties
- Incumbent works under the direct supervision and guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor
- The incumbent is employed as a journeyman level Welder/Locksmith to carry out standard welding repairs/fabrications, and repair/installations of Locks throughout the New Embassy Compound (NEC) functional/office buildings, on-compound ancillary support and residential buildings, recreational facilities, and other owned/leased properties.
Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a: Kenya Police Clearance Certificate
- All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
- Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time [4 weeks] upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of vocational training program from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level licensed pipe fitter or welder and locksmith trade, trained in the maintenance of commercial or industrial buildings/facilities is required.
