Top 10 ‘Weird’ Kenyan Universities & Colleges We Bet You’ve Never Heard Of

We ask you this Friday morning…….What’s in a schools name?

Some employers can actually you hire or not hire due to the school you graduated from. Here we bring you some schools that you may not have known existed in Kenya, and in particular Nairobi.

1.Maranatha College of Professional counseling and training
Maranatha College of Professional Counseling & Training (EA) is located in Nairobi, Kenya. The collage is situated at Coffee Plaza, 3rd floor, Exchange Lane, off Haile Selassie Avenue. They however do not have a website.

2.Montage Media Institute
Montage Media Institute offers film and TV Training it also offers art and creative based subjects that enhances the students’ capacity to easily get and understand the industry. These include, Graphics and Animation, Music and dance, Computer based technological studies and Acting

They also offer internship and hands on training for many students across our institutions. These are just a sample of them: Moi University, Day star University, Maseno University. Kenyatta University, Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and Kampala International University.

3.Beam International Training Centre

Beam is a registered global and national centre for training and career guidance in the areas of business, social sciences, hospitality and technical programmes. They are located at Development House, Moi Avenue

4.Belcom ICT Center
Are certified leaders in Professional courses: -Diploma in Web Design -Diploma in Programming -Diploma in Computer Engineering -Diploma in Information Technology, they are in Nairobi and are located at Njegi House, 2nd Floor, Tomboya Street.

5.Riruta Business College
Riruta Business College is a reputable college of higher learning, established to offer high quality education to all Kenyans. It is registered with the ministry of Education Kenya.

RBC is situated in Nairobi,at Kawangware in the Dagoretti Empowerment Center.

It is registered with the Ministry of higher education,Science and Technology. It offers Courses such as Business Studies, Accounting, Information Communication Technology and Education.

6.Apostle of Jesus Technical Institute
The Apostles of Jesus Youth Technical Institute began way back in 1985. This Institute is owned and managed by the missionary Institute of the Apostles of Jesus. It was founded to respond to the development needs of the local community and concern for the disadvantaged youth who hail from poor backgrounds and as a result could not go to institutions for higher learning.

The institute is situated off Langata-Karen road towards the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).

7.Tusome Centre

Located at Lang’ata, Kitengela Road,the school does not have a web site but if you happen to google you will get their physical address .

8.Ninety-Nine’s Flying School
Ninety-Nines Flying club is a dedicated flying training organization catering for the private, commercial and airline sectors. They have extensive experience in training self and corporate sponsored pilots from different cultural backgrounds and from all around the world.

9.United Africa College
It’s an institute of higher learning. Located in County House 2nd floor Along Haile Selassie Avenue Opposite Neno Evangelism center. It awards certificates and Diplomas.

10.Wildlife clubs of Kenya centre for tourism training

The school offers diploma in tourism and wildlife studies courses is a joint programme between Moi University (faculty of forest resources and wildlife management and tourism department) and the wildlife of Kenya (wck). Its located at Langata road, next to Bomas of Kenya
